John Carlyle had a contract to build a road on the island of Tetra. With a population half that of London and a tough military government, Tetra had its troubles. That became plain as soon as John and Dai Owen, his belligerent and hopefully lecherous Welsh assistant, landed. On the drive from the airport a mysterious rock fall almost kills them. Someone doesn’t want the road built. But who?
A few questions asked and they discover the extent of unrest on the island; the young revolutionary movement and its shadowy peasant leader. Gradually they realise that the whole island is on the brink of revolution. And that, whether they like it or not, they are involved.
